In case anyone has been wondering why I haven't posted anything in a while, it's because I'm stuck with artist's block. I'm going to Lake George this weekend so hopefully I'll get some inspiration there. My therapist has been encouraging me to paint my emotions, but I'm so darn perfectionistic that I have a hard time getting myself to even start something out of the fear that it's not going to turn out right. If anyone has any suggestions on what to paint (just suggestions, I'm not requesting commissions), that would be lovely.

So today is my birthday. Since things are going to be rushed tonight and not everyone will be home (I still live with my parents and little brother), we decided to do breakfast together and postpone the cake. But I did get my present from my parents this morning. I got Prismacolor watercolor pencils and Van Gogh watercolor paints (the tube kind)!!! I am happy. :)

So I just started painting again after months of not doing it and I've fallen in love with it. I started posting my artwork on Facebook and people have started commissioning me or requesting pieces I've posted...for pay. I honestly don't think any of it is worth anything, but I guess I'm my own worst critic. My problem right now seems to mostly be coming up with things to paint if an idea isn't already given to me. I don't know why I draw such blanks. But it's like I have this overwhelming desire to paint, but can't for the life of me figure out what to paint. And nothing ever comes out how I envision it. I wish I were so much better. I see s
